BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (AP) — South Carolina has been voted to win its third straight Southeastern Conference title and Gamecocks standout Tiffany Mitchell was picked to win her third consecutive conference player of the year award by a panel of SEC and national media members.

The SEC released the poll Tuesday.

South Carolina went 34-3 last season and reached its first Final Four. The Gamecocks return much of last year's team, including Mitchell, their leading scorer the past two seasons.

Following the Gamecocks were Tennessee, Mississippi State, Texas A&M and Kentucky.

Mitchell's teammates Alaina Coates and A'ja Wilson were voted on the all-SEC team. Makayla Epps of Kentucky, Victoria Vivians of Mississippi State and Diamond DeShields of Tennessee were also picked. DeShields is a North Carolina transfer who sat out last season.
