NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — J.C. Hampton was 3 of 7 from 3-point range with 15 points to help Lipscomb beat NAIA Cumberland (Tenn.) 83-53 on Thursday night.
The Bisons (4-8) closed the game on a 31-12 run after Cumberland closed within 52-41 by outscoring Lipscomb 15-7 over a seven-minute stretch in the second.
Lipscomb took control in the first half with a 15-0 run to lead 40-16 on Aaron Korn's basket with 3:55 left in the period. Cumberland had an 8-2 run to close the half down 42-24.
The Bisons shot 10 of 17 from 3-point range in the first half.
Brett Wishon scored 12 and Eli Pepper added 11 for Lipscomb, which finished 15 of 31 from 3-point range and 30 of 60 overall.
Devarus Craig led the Bulldogs with 10 points.
