The Boyd Broncos opened the New Year with a 78-67 home victory over the Knights of Riverside Christian Academy from Fayetteville on Tuesday night. It was a heated contest with tempers flaring from both teams as the score seemed to hover within 4 to 5 points with the Knights pulling to within 1 point several times.Joelah Solomon would get the scoring started in the first frame for Boyd by going hard to the rim and drawing the foul. He would sink the free throw to complete the three-point play.
