Boyd Christian High School’s Broncos wanted to make double sure it wasn’t going to be them riding off into the sunset, as they defeated the visiting Covenant Lions, 67-38, to the delight of the home crowd.“We executed well for three quarters,” said Boyd head coach Lucas Majors. “As a team, we have to continue working to close out games with the same energy we have in the first eight minutes. Overall I was happy with our effort and glad we had a successful homecoming night.”Considering the Bronco trio of Blaine Wilson, Trey Cantrell and Tyler Beaty scored 51 points between them, it was apparent Boyd (9-2, 1-1) had made its point, working both inside the paint and outside the arc, taking advantage of numerous scoring opportunities.
