Coach Phillip King is hopeful his Pioneers will be back on the field Wednesday after Monday's rainout.

Mondays in the spring are usually set aside for district matchups, but lately all the Pioneers have been doing at the start of game weeks is watching it rain.

For the third straight week, Warren County was forced to move its home District 9-4A matchup to Wednesday after Monday's game with Shelbyville was postponed. The Pioneers are planning on playing the Eagles at Patrick Ramsey Field at 6 p.m. today.

Getting any consistency in district matchups has been hard with the ever-shifting schedules. The struggles have poured onto the field once they've dried as Warren County has started 0-4 in the new district, which also includes Lincoln County, Coffee County, Columbia and Spring Hill.

The Pioneers did get a chance to build some momentum over the weekend, going 2-2 in the Mt. Valley Classic. See results on the matchups in Sequatchie County on 10A.
