What a shame the "best" race of the season had to suffer through weather problems, which resulted in just a scatter of fans in the seats for the finale. The Food City 500 at Bristol started on Sunday under threatening skies and after completing 204 of the 500 scheduled laps, rain forced the postponement of the race until Monday. Because of a 100 percent chance of rain on Sunday, a sparse crowd showed up for the race.
