Moore Thoughts - Wear mask, get vaccinated
taylor moore

COVID has hit Tennessee like no other place, as we all know. I wonder how comfortable anti-mask wearers feel now that they are in a cesspool for the disease.
Also, why did Gov. Bill Lee wait so long to buckle down on the pandemic? Why was it until we were the worst state? We could’ve controlled this with temporary regulations and respect from the Tennessee citizens.
I just do not understand what is so important about someone not wanting to wear a mask. It’s a piece of fabric. It is inconvenient, but so is being out of work for two weeks.
Even if you think the virus is a hoax, it is affecting too many people regardless. Do you think the death rates are a hoax? Try telling that to someone who lost a loved one to the disease.
As a community, we should be doing better; where are people’s empathy? A lack of leadership has caused this disease to run rampant. Sure, we funded the first vaccine that was released; however, we also put a lot of pressure on those scientists to find this vaccine at light speed because we couldn’t control ourselves.
It’s the 20% of people admitting they don’t wear masks in public that have ruined the country for us. It is shameful to admit that, in my opinion. Why are you proud of spreading a mysterious disease?
Anyway, luckily we have two vaccines being administered in the U.S. now, and they are pretty effective. The Moderna and Pfizer vaccines have been shown to be over 90% effective in preventing severe cases of the virus.
When it is available to the general public, you better believe I am getting the shot. This specific vaccine is different than other vaccines, but it’s still important to understand that a vaccine is more useful in your body than a virus.
If you are concerned with what is in the vaccine, then just Google what is in it. If you mix ketchup and ranch dressing into one dipping sauce, then you don’t need to worry about what’s in the vaccine.
I can’t believe I am asking this almost a whole year since the lockdown started, but please wear a mask. Be respectful. It doesn’t hurt you to wear one; it doesn’t hurt you to speak from a safe six feet. The choices you’ve made by not respecting your community have made everyone suffer.
The sooner we all start taking the virus seriously, the sooner we can go back to the way things were, pre-mask. Everyone from regular citizens to elected officials, we all need to do better and get rid of this virus.
