Zella Mae Shepherd, 84, of McMinnville and formerly of Rigdon, Ind., died Friday, June 8. She was born Feb. 3, 1928 in McCreary County, Ky., and was a homemaker. Mrs. Shepherd was preceded in death by her parents, Luther and Nora (Young) Wilson and brothers, Dave, Arvel, Gene, and Berdell Wilson.Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Shade Shepherd; sons, Richard (Judy) Shepherd of Elwood, Ind., David Shepherd of Fairmount, Ind., and Darrell (Tammy) Shepherd of Frankton, Ind.; sister, Alice Shepherd of Carthage, Ind.; brother, Harold (Juanita) Wilson of New Castle, Ind.; grandchildren Richard L. Shepherd (Tina Haulk), Joshua (Jamie) Shepherd, Lindsay D. Elkins, and Angie (Chris) Schonfield; and great-grandchildren, Ethan and Kia Powell and Bentley Shepherd.Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Rev. Jack Hannum officiating.
