William “Hayes” Miller, 86

William “Hayes” Miller, 86, a Warren County resident and Hamilton County native, was born June 25, 1933 and passed away Sept. 2 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital following a brief illness.

He was a United States Navy veteran of Korea, retired employee of DeZurik, member of Clark United Methodist Church and son of the late William and Lillian Miller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Mattie Louise Taylor Miller and eight siblings.

Survivors include three children, Keith Lillard (Jennifer) (Miller) of Antioch, Chris (Jackie Kirby) Miller of Sparta and William C. Miller of McMinnville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; seven brothers and sisters; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 7, at High’s Chapel with Gerard Harlan to officiate. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery at Martin Charge with military grave rites conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be 12 p.m. Saturday until the time service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at
