Mr. William Edward “Edd” Tubb, 89, of McMinnville died Sunday, Aug. 5, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 14, 1928, in McMinnville, worked with the floating bridge repair crew at TDOT, was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a member of Unity Church of Christ. Mr. Tubb was preceded in death by parents Shelah and Ethel Perry Tubb, son Clark Edward Tubb, and great-grandson Cooper Jay Ramsey.
Survivors include his wife Stella Clark Tubb, son Robert Tubb with Erica Hale, daughter Sheila and Doug Fletcher, grandchildren Cheetah and Spencer Wayne and Gwen and Jason Ramsey, great-grandchildren Chandler Wayne, Emilia Ramsey, and John Wayne, and sisters Nelle Roller and Geraldean Fish. Other family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Avery Blair will officiate. Interment will follow at Unity Cemetery. Military grave rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. The Tubb family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
