McMinnville resident and Warren County native Wilburn A. Winnett, 86, was born March 26, 1934 and died March 23 at his residence following a brief illness.

A United States Navy veteran of Vietnam, retired Oscar Meyer employee, and member of the Baptist church, he was the son of the late Norman F. and Pauline Young Winnett. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by former wife, Bettie Mae Winnett, brother Raymond Winnett, and sister Mary Toll.

Mr. Winnett is survived by six children, Wanda Fay Graves, Norman Edward Winnett, Deborah Jean Appleby, Robert Carl Winnett, Donna Lynn Winnett, and Rhonda Darlene Winnett Newson, 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, brother Marvin Winnett, and former wife Barbara Duke.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 27, at Centertown Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at High’s. Military grave rites will be administered by American Legion Post 173 Honor Guard and VFW Post 5064. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
