Mr. Wahland Mark “Bing” Parker, 96, of McMinnville, died Friday, Sept. 20, at River Park Hospital.
He was born Jan. 19, 1917, in Ashtabula, Ohio, was retired from Correct Air Corporation in Willoughby, Ohio, a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during World War II, and a member of the Willoughby Masonic Lodge F&AM 302. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents, Orre Mark and Hazel Marie Taylor Parker, wife Laura Irene Parker, daughter Bonnie Parker, son Dale Parker, and brothers Armand Parker and Merlyn Parker.
Survivors include sons Mike Parker of St. Clair Shores, Mich., daughter Judith Addison of Colorado, stepson L.C. Fults of Perry, Ohio, sister Faye Reznak of Rome, Ohio, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and special family Carolyn and Wade Bassett and David and Linda Umbarger, all of Manchester, Ronnie and Jeannie Madewell of McMinnville, Mr. and Mrs. Tony Madewell of Murfreesboro, Carolee Holder, Noell Basham, Lauralynn Talbott, Jamie Talbott, Debbie and Todd Sturgill, Mike and Bonnie Cruz, Bennie and Tonya Cruz, and Vickie and Larry Derriso. Many other family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 12:30 p.m. Sunday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Dennis Clark will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory. Military grave rites will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. The Parker family will receive friends Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
