Viva Ruth Roberts, 69, of Morrison died Tuesday, Sept. 23, at her residence.
She was born March 25, 1945, in Warren County and was a former nurse’s aide at NHC Health Care Center, and a member of the Church of Christ at Grange Hall. Mrs. Roberts was preceded in death by parents, John and Hassie Lee Perry King, sister Irene Varner, and brother J.C. King.
Survivors include her husband, Harold W. Roberts Sr.; sons, Harold W. (Debbie) Roberts Jr., Jimmy Ray Roberts; daughter Teresa Diane Moore; grandchildren, Wade Robbins, Alan Taylor, Tara Roberts, Patrick Travis, Hillary Moore, Ashley Moore, and Megan Moore; great-grandchild, Owen Moore; sisters, Judy Tigue and Carolyn (Randy) Tigue, and brothers, Cecil (Evelyn) King, Austin (Betty) King, John (Margie) King, and Tommy (Bridget) King. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. James Nelson will officiate. Interment will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County. The Roberts family will receive friends from noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and again from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
