Virgie Louise Wright Martin, 80

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Virgie Louise Wright Martin, 80, was born Dec. 10, 1930 and died Nov. 14 at Raintree Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness.
A homemaker and member of the Church of God, she was the daughter of the late Rube Leonard and Annie Bell Ray Wright. She was married to Billy Thomas Martin, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Jean Barrett, Athalene Scruggs and Beatrice Wright; brother, Michael Sonny Wright, and two grandchildren, Vandy Fults and Travis Davis.
She is survived by two daughters, Pamela Amoroso of McMinnville, and Brenda Kozel of Morrison; two sons, Michael Martin of McMinnville, and George Leonard Martin of Murfreesboro; four grandchildren, Timothy Martin and Richard Moore, both of McMinnville, Stephanie Martin of Tullahoma, and U.S. Army Sgt. Jason Moore of Germany; sister, Margaret Powers of McMinnville, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. today at Gardens of Memory with Bobby Bond officiating. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. today at High’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or Share A Christmas Dinner c/o High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
