Spencer resident and Sequatchie County native Tiny Moffitt Howard, 86, died Jan. 10 at Generations of Spencer after an extended illness.
A retired factory worker and a member of the Baptist Church, she enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking for her family. She was the daughter of the late Monroe and Gusty May Moffitt; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Winton Howard; sisters, Gertrude Farley, Bernice Moffitt and Dainty Swafford; and brothers, Wesley Swafford, Ethel Clark and Raymond Clark.
She is survived by son Bron Howard of Spencer; daughters and sons-in-law, Helen and Don Basham of McMinnville, Stella and Lloyd Powers of Spencer, Charlotte and Walter Thompson of Dunlap; grandchildren, Heath Thompson and Jerry Thompson, both of Spencer, and Candie Salatka of Washington; great-grandchildren, Paige Thompson of Spencer and Julian Salatka of Washington; sister, Eva Jane Minton of Dunlap; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at High’s Chapel with Joseph Hayes officiating. Burial will follow at Seitz Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. today, and 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High’s.
High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
