Morrison resident and Warren County native Sarah Faye Marcrom, 61, was born Feb. 10, 1951 and died Sept. 30 at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville following a brief illness.
An educator in the Manchester City School System for 39 years and member of Bascom United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Herbie Willard and Winnie Faye Comer Marcrom. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Dean Sons.
She is survived by two sisters and brother-in-law, Edith Irene and Michael Anthony Lancaster of Bruceton, and Martha Jane Marcrom of Morrison, two grandchildren, Jessica Erin Sons and Cole Marcrom Sons, both of Manchester; niece, Gretchen Faye Lancaster of Pleasant View; nephew, John Willard Lancaster and wife Katherine of Camden, and two great-nephews, Michael Keith Lancaster and Caden Anthony Lancaster.
Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in High’s Chapel with Rev. Paul Tramel officiating. Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at High’s. Memorial contributions may be made to Bascom United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 414, Morrison, TN 37357.
