Sara Kathryn Cope McGregor, 92, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Jan. 16, 1928 and passed away Feb. 21, 2020 at NHC Healthcare following a short illness.
She was a homemaker, a member of Central Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Betty Cleo Powell McGregor. She was married to James William McGregor, who preceded her in death June 18, 2006. She is also preceded in death by son James Larry McGregor.
Mrs. McGregor is survived by son and daughter-in-law Lynn (Pam) McGregor of McMinnville, two daughters and sons-in-law Sara McGregor (Melvin) Covington of Franklin, and Caroline (Jeff) Noblin of Knoxville, daughter-in-law Charlotte McGregor of McMinnville, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister Charlene Cope Nunley, and brother and sister-in-law Billy Joe (Linda) Cope, both of McMinnville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside service and internment will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County with Wayne Cantrell officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 11 a.m. till 2 p.m. in High’s Parlor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Meals on Wheels. Online condolences can be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
