Sandy Kay Tallent Luna, 59, a McMinnville resident and White County native was born April 11, 1960 and passed away Oct. 31 following an extended illness.

A secretary with Tri-State Development, and a member of Indian Mound The Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Odie and Pearl Hawkins Tallent. She was also preceded in death by son Corey Shane Luna, sisters Peggy McCormick, Sheila Rogers, Faye Burton, Kat Tallent, and Brenda Tallent.

Mrs. Luna is survived by husband David Webb Luna of McMinnville, daughters Erica Blair (Joe) Marshall of McMinnville, Erin Blaine (Cotey) Tanner of McMinnville, one granddaughter Kaydence Shane Tanner of McMinnville, two brothers, Odie (Patsy) Tallent of Smithville, Kirk (Nova) Tallent of Rock Island, two sisters Shirley Layman of McMinnville, Karen Bogard of Kingsport, special friend Lisa Yates and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3 at Indian Mound Cemetery in DeKalb County with Johnny Adcock officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at High’s.
