McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Sandra Nannalene Owens, 63, was born March 11, 1949 and died unexpectedly Nov. 29 at River Park Hospital.A retired employee of Findlay Industries, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Daisy Mae Taylor Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Cheryl Lynn Owens and two sisters, Linda Dove and Joan Smith.She was married to Bluford Owens Jr., of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Gregory Owens and Chris Owens, both of McMinnville; granddaughter, Macey Leann Owens of McMinnville; three brothers, David Smith of Rock Island, Olan Smith of Bone Cave, and Dewey Smith of McMinnville; two sisters, Freda Duggin and Kathy King, both of Rock Island; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. in High’s Chapel with Danny Sullivan officiating.
