Ruby Mildred West Jenkins, 86, of McMinnville died Monday, Dec. 28 at her home.
She was born June 27, 1929 in DeKalb County and was a previous employee of Stewart’s Pharmacy, a homemaker, and a member of Newtown The Baptist Church. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by parents Jewell and Jennie Hutchings DeLong; first husband, and father of her children Albert West, second husband Troy Jenkins Jr., infant son Ricky West; stepmother Rossie DeLong; sister, Nell Cantrell and brother Lloyd DeLong.
Survivors include her children, Judy (Tommy) Simmons and Don (Deborah) West; sisters, Evelyn (Norval) Young and Freda (David) Frazier; sister-in-law, Delores DeLong; grandchildren, Stacy (Angela) Moore, Demetrish Brabson, Vanessa (Scott) Rubley, Christopher West, Rebecca West and Joshua (Becky) West; great-grandchildren, Zachary Rubley, Kindra Brabson, Nealie West, Jacob Moore, Julya West, Bella West, and Lincoln West; special nephew, Leonard Cantrell, and lots of friends.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Jeff Hill and Scott Rubley will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
