Ruby Mildred West Jenkins, 86, of McMinnville died Monday, Dec. 28 at her home. She was born June 27, 1929 in DeKalb County and was a previous employee of Stewart’s Pharmacy, a homemaker, and a member of Newtown The Baptist Church. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by parents Jewell and Jennie Hutchings DeLong; first husband, and father of her children Albert West, second husband Troy Jenkins Jr., infant son Ricky West; stepmother Rossie DeLong; sister, Nell Cantrell and brother Lloyd DeLong.Survivors include her children, Judy (Tommy) Simmons and Don (Deborah) West; sisters, Evelyn (Norval) Young and Freda (David) Frazier; sister-in-law, Delores DeLong; grandchildren, Stacy (Angela) Moore, Demetrish Brabson, Vanessa (Scott) Rubley, Christopher West, Rebecca West and Joshua (Becky) West; great-grandchildren, Zachary Rubley, Kindra Brabson, Nealie West, Jacob Moore, Julya West, Bella West, and Lincoln West; special nephew, Leonard Cantrell, and lots of friends.Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
