Ruby Matilda Self, 92, of McMinnville died Wednesday, Aug. 17, at NHC Health Care Center in McMinnville.She was born March 23, 1919, in Jackson County, Ala., and was a retired ward clerk with River Park Hospital, and attended Liberty Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Self was preceded in death by parents Will A. and Minnie Ann Barton Rowland, her husband Homer D. Self; daughter, Sharon Vaughn; her sisters, Mae Castle and Faye Bunch; her brothers, Horace and Raleigh Rowland, and son-in-law Bryan Knight.Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Knight, and sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Margaret Self and Bobby and Tena Self; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.Funeral service is 2 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Harry Green and Rev. Lanny Johnson will officiate.
