Roselee Land Smithers, 92, was born Oct. 2, 1921, in Dunlap and died June 27 at Raintree Manor Nursing Center in McMinnville.She was a homemaker, a former employee of Levi Strauss Company, and member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. Mrs. Smithers was preceded in death by parents, Mason and Vergie Brown Land; husband, Maurice Smithers, sisters Lizzie Seals, Maebelle Long, and Lucille Myers; brothers, Arcie Land, Thomas Land, Isaac Land, and Franklin Land, and son-in-law James M. Martin.Survivors include daughters, Virginia (James) Fishel, Christeen (John) Kaylor, and Deborah Martin; grandchildren, Teresa (David) Crouch, Jason (Suzanne) Haley, and Marisa (Brian) Hefflefinger; great-grandchildren, Brandon (Chrishelle) Crouch, Brandon and Hailey Cooper, and Austin and Ellie Hefflefinger, and sister Mary Sullivan. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Monday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
