Ronald Douglas Bell, 63, a McMinnville resident and Warren County, native died May 4 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.
He was a retired employee of Warren Farmers Co-op, a U.S. Army veteran, and member of First Baptist Church, Morrison and son of the late Elbert Leslie and Welthan May Parker Bell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Buck Bell and sisters, Mary Fuston, Barbara Berry and Willie Mae Hittell.
Mr. Bell is survived by two sons, Chris Bell of Rock Island, and Scott Bell of McMinnville; grandson, Christopher Bell of McMinnville; great-grandchild, Ayden Bell; two sisters, Martha (Houston) Lafevers of Springfield, and Betty (Daniel) Pack of the Vervilla community; two brothers, Pete (Charlotte) Bell of Morrison, and David Bell of McMinnville; companion, Mary Coffey of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Lynn and Chris Bouldin.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at High’s Chapel with Dr. Dean Northcutt to officiate. Interment will follow at Bascom Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday until time of service at High’s. Military grave rites will be conducted by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion 173.
