Robert P. Anderson, 73, of McMinnville died Saturday, Sept. 21 at his residence after an extended illness.He was born in Smithville on Feb. 27, 1940, the son of the late Linnie (Ferrell) McMahan and Vander Anderson.He worked as a truck driver and attended the Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Corporal in the Korean War era.He is survived by the mother of his children and friend, Judy Anderson of McMinnville; daughter, Linda A., and husband Larry Woods of McMinnville; son, William P., and wife, Denise Anderson of McMinnville; sister, Josie P., and husband, John Hobbs of Smithville. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Heather Byford, Brady Yates, Newby Anderson.He was preceded in death by parents, Vander and Linnie (Ferrell) Anderson; one daughter, Melissa Ann Anderson; two brothers, James Anderson and Frankie Anderson.Mr. Anderson’s family will bury his ashes with a private service at a later date.
