McMinnville resident and Wiesbaden, Germany native, Robert “Bob” Clay Eckenrod, III, 58, was born Sept. 4, 1964 and died Oct. 16, 2022 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following a brief illness.
A software sales manager and a member of Christ Community Church, he was the son of the late Robert Clay and Mary Louise Bowman Eckenrod, Jr. He was married to Kelly Madison Eckenrod of McMinnville on Oct. 16, 1993.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Eckenrod is survived by children, Elsa Grace Eckenrod and Clay Eckenrod, both of McMinnville; brother, Skip (Cathy) Eckenrod of North Carolina; sister, Cindy (Mark) Simerly of Virginia and Jaylee (Scott) Paulson; nieces, Wendy Eckenrod, Shannon Myers, Ali Simerly, Catherine Paulson, Leah Madison and Joanna Brantley; nephews, Luke Simerly, Eddie Paulson and Max Paulson; great-nephews, Caden Green, Bryson Green and Colin MacDonald; great-niece, Casey MacDonald; mother-in-law, Joyce Madison of McMinnville, TN and brother-in-law, Kent (Pixie) Madison of Florida.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, in High’s Chapel with Elsa Eckenrod and Jeremy Kliewer officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. at High Funeral Home.
