McMinnville resident and Kokomo, Ind., native, Richard Allen Ross, 53, was born Dec. 16, 1966 and passed away Nov. 22 at his residence following an extended illness.    

A rollback truck driver with Turners Auto Salvage and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late James Richard and Harriett June Miller Ross.  He was married to Rebecca Sue Sweeton on Jan. 18, 1994 of McMinnville.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by mother-in-law, Betty Jean Sweeton.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Misti and Jason Parsley of McMinnville, son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Michelle Christian of McMinnville, sister and brother-in-law, Dee Dee and David Thrower of McMinnville, seven grandchildren, Hana, Maci, Laney, Madison, Kaleb, Bryan Jr., and Heaven, great-grandchild Jensen, stepbrother, Roy Tucker, stepmother Barbara Ross, special uncle Wendell Miller, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and special Turners Auto Salvage family also survive. 

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, at High’s Chapel with Bro. Johnny Haston officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Coffee County. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
