Reinhard Rein Steg, 69

McMinnville resident and Yugoslavia native Reinhard “Rein” Steg, 69, was born Dec. 19, 1943 and died Oct. 18 at his son’s residence in Morrison following an extended illness.
A salesman for Lowe’s, a United States Navy veteran of Vietnam and a member of the Non-Denominational Church, he was the son of the late Nikolaus and Katharina Weiland Steg. He was married Dec. 26, 1966 to Lorraine Urick Steg, who preceded him in death Nov. 17, 2003. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Helen Steg.
He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and Amy Steg of Morrison, and David and Ginger Steg of Murfreesboro; two grandchildren, Bradley Steg and Brandon Steg; brother, Nikolaus Steg of Saratoga Springs, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in High’s Chapel with Steve Breedlove officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery with full military honors administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at High’s.
