Ralph Wayne Womack, 90

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Ralph Wayne Womack, 90, was born Oct. 5, 1923 and died Sept. 21 at Raintree Manor.
A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and farmer, United States Marine Corps veteran of World War II, and member of Highway 56 North Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Wallace Bruce and Shelby Smith Womack. He was married to Perry Jean Gribble Womack, who preceded him in death March 9, 2010. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Jarrod Womack.
Mr. Womack is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Chris Womack of Campaign; daughter and son-in-law, Mia-Lan and Vernon Powers of McMinnville; grandchildren, and their spouses, Commander (USN) Adam and Karrie Aycock of Jacksonville, Fla., April and Paul Bryant of Cleveland, Lucas Womack of Chattanooga, Jacob Webb of Quebeck, Angie and John Tune of Bellevue, and Keith Powers of Hendersonville; 14 great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Newton Gribble of Cookeville; sister-in-law, Laura Wiser of Murfreesboro and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in High’s Chapel with Wayne Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery with full military honors administered by the American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. Visitation will be Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Meals on Wheels or Nursing Home Christmas both c/o High’s.
