Ralph Arnold Jr., 90, of Smithville died Monday, Feb. 1 at NHC Health Care in Smithville. He was born Oct. 25, 1925 in DeKalb County and was a retired employee of Genesco and a member and deacon of New Bildad Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by parents Ralph Arnold Sr. and Nettie Arnold Johnson, son Jewel Reed Arnold, grandson Gary Robinson, and sister Lois Chapman.Survivors include his wife of 70 years Ethel Christine Arnold, son Ricky Lynn (Debbie) Arnold, grandchildren Dennis (Gina) Arnold, Joseph (Christy) Arnold, great-grandchildren Adam, Jordan, Sam, Bryson, Yasmin and Lealon Arnold, step great-granddaughter Kealah Curtis, daughter-in-law Christeen Arnold, sister Nell (Dean) Snyder, brother-in-law Cordell Chapman, niece Mellanie Chapman and nephew Kip Snyder.
