Phyllis Elaine Green Roller, 71

Rock Island resident and Warren County native Phyllis Elaine Green Roller, 71, was born Nov. 19, 1945 and died Oct. 28 at her residence following an extended illness.
A homemaker and a member of Shellsford Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Theopluis Green and Beatrice Rhea Green Page. She was married to Samuel Adams Roller, who preceded her in death Feb. 15, 1981. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Jim Green.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Paula Roller of McMinnville; four daughters and sons-in-law, Melody and Pat Pharris of Silver Point, and Tracy and Stuart Brown, Thena Edwards and Tony Fuston, and Angie and Michael Ellis, all of Smithville; stepfather Arthur Page of McMinnville; sister Vivian Sinks of McMinnville; grandchildren, Brandy Wilcher of Rock Island, Cory Killian and Hannah Brown of Dowelltown, Josh Roller, Samantha McCormick and Jonathan Beavers, all of McMinnville, Cameron Page, Ashlie Edwards and Shawn Edwards, and Austin and Christian Ellis, all of Smithville, Sheena Dishman of Nashville, and Shawna Owens of Cookeville; nine great-grandchildren; one uncle, one niece and two nephews; and special thank you to nurse Lori Betschardt, Camille Campbell and special friend, Randy Bell.
Funeral service was held Monday, Oct. 30, at High's Chapel with Tony Roberts officiating. Burial followed at Smyrna Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.

Martha Raye Watson, 71

McMinnville resident and Coffee County native Martha Raye Watson, age 71, was born Jan. 17, 1954 and died April 2, 2025 at Alive Hospice of Murfreesboro following an extended illness.

A retired caregiver and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Ethel St. John Crouch. Mrs. Watson was married December 29, 1970 to Fred B. Watson, Jr. who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings, Donna McCormick, Richard Crouch and Ruth Rogers.

She is survived by sons, Fred B. Watson, III and David A. Watson (Sydney Brown) both of McMinnville; daughter, Tonia L. (Carlos) Copley of McMinnville; seventeen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; sister, Ann McCormick of the Smartt Station community and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County with Wayne Cantrell to officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at High’s.
