Pearl Rigsby Laws died July 23 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville.

Pearl “Billie” Rigsby Laws, age 91, a McMinnville resident and Sheffield, Ala., native was born June 9, 1926 and died July 23 in NHC Healthcare of McMinnville following an extended illness.
She was a homemaker, member of Oakland Church of Christ and daughter of the late Ernest and Martha Duncan Rigsby. Mrs. Laws was married February 27, 1945 to Ernest Marshall Laws who preceded her in death December 19, 2016. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by six brothers, Earl, Elston, Leonard, Carl, Omer and Winford Rigsby; and sister, Opal Taylor.
Survivors include children and spouses, Sandy and Bill Haston and Janice and Tommy Rogers, all of McMinnville, David and Karen Laws of Manchester, Steve and Brenda Laws of Murfreesboro, Patricia and Tony Boston and Tammy and Tim Layman, all of Dunlap; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Rita and J.D. Lentz of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26 in High’s Chapel with Freddy Clayton and Jim Dearman to officiate. Interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of service at High’s. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gospel Broadcasting Network or the Arthritis Foundation.
