Morrison resident and Grundy County native Paul Hershel Meeks, 82, was born Oct. 2, 1929 and died Dec. 26 at his residence following a short illness.A retired driver with VanHooser Trucking Company and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, he was the son of the late Herman and Anna Meeks.He was married to Shirley Sunderman Meeks of Morrison. In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children and their spouses, Penny Bryant and Freda and Michael Peterson, all of Virginia; Deeann and Wayne Dyer; Paul Edward Meeks of McMinnville, and Michelle and Darius Elliott, and Kimberly and Jim Pruitt, all of Morrison; 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Seventh Day Adventist Church with Harley Roth officiating.High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.Southern Standard (McMinnville, Tenn.)
