McMinnville resident and Warren County native Patricia Laine Barnes, 55, was born Jan. 8, 1958 and died Oct. 29 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville following a sudden illness.
A sales associate with Walmart and a member of Philadelphia the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Sidney Clarence and Ida Lucille Nunley Scott.
She was married Sept. 20, 1975 to Clay Barnes of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Lindsay and Troy Grissom of McMinnville; son, Josh Barnes of Talladega, Ala.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and Joyce Scott of McMinnville and Jimmy and Marla Scott of McMinnville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Brenda Mullican of McMinnville and Roxanne and Hugh Barnes of McMinnville; three step-grandchildren; mother-in-law, Mildred Barnes of McMinnville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at High’s Chapel with Bill Eversole and Jeff McCollugh officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High’s. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Barnes family c/o of High’s.
