McMinnville resident and Warren County native Owen Eugene Bond, 64, was born Jan. 20, 1953 and died Oct. 16 at his residence following a sudden illness.A retired fork truck driver with Carrier Corporation and from the Warren County Sanitation Department, he was the son of the late Edward Owen and Dorothy Miller Bond. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Aubrey Nelson Bond, Waymon Haskell Bond, Irene Bond Bain and Judy Bond Roberts.He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Gina and Shane Crouch of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Elaine Bond of Kingston; two grandchildren, McKeely Beth Crouch and Carter Shane Crouch; nine siblings and spouses, Geneva and Aubrey Reece Winfrey of Morrison, Douglas Bond, Frankie and Gewanda Bond, Janie Phifer, Marie and John Padgett, Diane Bond, Audrey and Charles Morgan, and Wanda and Randy Neely, all of McMinnville, and Morris Bond of Smithville; aunts and uncle, Jimmie Blanks of Alabama and Edna and Franklin Paris of McMinnville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 19, in High’s Chapel with Josh Thaxton officiating.
