Mrs. Ora Ardis Walker, 86, of McMinnville died Saturday, Aug. 2.
She was born Sept. 15, 1927, in Nashville, was a homemaker and a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Walker was preceded in death by parents Harvey Eugene and Ethel May Call Ward, her husband L.D. Walker, brother John Ward, special aunt Bessie Pease, father-in-law and mother-in-law Louis and Martha Walker, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Carl and Frankie Walker, brother-in-law Lewis Cantrell, sister-in-law and brother –in-law Inez and Joe Boren, and sisters-in-law Rosetta Hickerson and Marion Ward.
Survivors include her son Dr. David Walker and wife Angela of McMinnville, her brother Nelson Ward of Roseville, MI, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Clifford and Virgie Walker, Leroy and Reba Walker and Juanita Cantrell. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastors Bratten and Faye Tucker will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The Walker family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
