McMinnville resident and Warren County native Norma Christine Simons Hill, 96, was born Dec. 24, 1925 and died Oct. 27, 2022 at her home following an extended illness.  She went peacefully, with her daughters and family by her side.

A member of Hebron Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Gladys Simons.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Hill;  sisters, Clora Cantrell and Wilma Passons;  brother-in-law, Clinton Cantrell; and step-great-grandson, Brandon Robbins.

Mrs. Hill is survived two children, Pam (Tex) Perry and Babs (Bruce) Boyd both of McMinnville;  grandchildren, Brian Perry, Jason (Tish) Perry, Laura Beth (Josh) Robinson, Kristi (Kyle) Jones, Kory Boyd and Kayla (Johnathan) York;  great-grandchildren, Kelcy (Chris) Pepper, Keleigh Jones, Hailey York, Katie Robinson, Ridge Robinson, Sarah Perry and Nathan (Lizz) Harper;  great-great-grandchildren, Autumn, Macie and Mosley Pepper and another great-great-granddaughter on the way;  brother, Ronald Simones of Murfreesboro;  many special nieces and nephews and brother-in-law, Clinton “PeeWee” Hill of McMinnville.

Mrs. Hill owned her first grocery store at the age of fifteen.  After her marriage to Larry, they continued in the grocery business until retirement.

Funeral service will be held at 2p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Derrick Stiles and Chris Perry officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday and noon until time of service Sunday at High’s.
