Nelie Christy Collins, 84, of Cullman, Ala., for-merly of Viola, died Friday, Sept. 12, at Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman.She was born Aug. 18, 1930, in Bald Knob, Ark., and was a minister’s wife, a former department manager with Walmart, and a faithful member of Cullman Church of Christ. Mrs. Collins was pre-ceded in death by parents Walter Earl and Bessie Culver Norman, husband William Henry Collins, daughter Christy Anita Collins, son Steven Dale Collins, sisters Catherine Moria McAdams, Opel Pauline Robertson, Mary Jane Schroeder, Gracie Mae Ross, and brothers Garlan Eugene Norman, Lester Eason Norman, and Oscar Elmer Norman.Survivors include sons William Michael Ray (Sylvia V.) Collins of LaVergne , Jerry (Cathy) Collins of Cullman, and Timothy Ralph (Tabitha) Collins of Viola; sister Helen Kirk of Pleasant Plains, Ark., brother Richard Norman of Judsonia, Ark., nine grandchildren, William Ray Collins Jr., Shannon Elizabeth Collins, Michael Edward Collins, David Robert Collins, Kimberly Lynn (Nicholas) Lee, Ashley Nicole Collins, Thomas Nathaniel (Kimberly) Collins, Joshua Lyn Christopher Collins, and Michael LeeAndrew Star Collins, and nine great-grandchildren, Shala Nicole, Skyler Dakota Collins, Tristan William, Gavin Ray, Jabien Gregory and Lillian Isabella, Savanah Love Stembridge, Stella Shianne Stembridge, and Kaleb Brayden Lee. Also a host of nieces, nephews, and friends survive.
