Marlin LeVaughn Binkley, 71, of Spencer died Sunday, Dec. 11 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville.He was born in Spencer on April 1, 1940, the son of the late Lawrence (Buck) and Alova (Beach) Binkley. He was self employed as a real estate developer.He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Hale) Baker of Spencer; daughter, Kimberly Hillis of Sparta; son, Trence Baker and wife Susan of Acworth, Ga.; sister, Colleen Quick and husband Mack of Nashville; sister-in-law, Melba and Monroe Mooneyham of Spencer; granddaughters, DeVon Hillis Smith and husband Jeff of Baxter; Madison Baker of Acworth, Ga.; grandson, Parker Baker of Acworth, Ga.; great-grandchildren, Aubree Owen of Baxter, Jackson Smith of Baxter; nieces, Datheny Quick, Roxanne Simpkins and husband Ronald, both of Nashville. Many friends and other family members also survive.In addition to his parents LeVaughn is also preceded in death by a twin daughter; Simone Binkley and grandson, Kaleb Hillis.Funeral service will be held at Spencer Funeral Home at 2 p.m. today with Gene Brock officiating.
