Luther Davis West, 86, a McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native died May 17 at the Webb House Retirement Center following an extended illness. He was the owner of H&W Tom’s Distributors, a member of the Oasis Church and son of the late Hester Lee and Daisy Cantrell West.He was married Jan. 29, 1949 to Betty Sue Warren West, who preceded him in death Oct. 13, 2014. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother, I.D. West and sisters, Mary Curtis, Willie Mae Cates and Virginia Beckwith.
