Linda F. Swafford, 70, of Sparta died Sunday, April 17, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
She was born Tuesday, Oct. 23, 1945 in McMinnville to the late John B. and Emma Keathley Hobbs. She was a member of Baptist Church and worked as a waitress and a cook in the restaurant business.
Surviving are her sons, Joe Wolf of West Des Moines Iowa, Caleb Wolf of McMinnville, Harold Elkins of Sparta, and James Elkins of Dickson; daughters, Bert R. Woodham of McMinnville and Diane Elkins of Morrison; brother Lawrance Glenn of McMinnville. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive; special friends, Emily and Mackenzie Sherrell of Sparta and Pasty Holt of Sparta.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John B. and Emma Keathley Hobbs, two brothers, and four sisters.
Funeral service will be Wednesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Chapel at 11 a.m. with Sam Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Hebron Cemetery in Warren County. Online condolences may be made to the family at gardensofmemoryfuneralhome.com.
