Lillian Bernice Partain, 96, a McMinnville resident and Davidson County native, was born Jan. 28, 1921 and died Sept. 30 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness. She was a homemaker, member of the Living Word Fellowship Church, and daughter of the late Collie and Almarenda Sweeney. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Gordon Earl Partain; and sister, Elouise Wilson.Mrs. Partain is survived by two children and spouses, Gloria and David Neal of McMinnville and Lee and Christy Partain of Rock Island; five grandchildren and spouses, Bobby and Lisa Smith of McMinnville, Jerry and Sabrina Bass of Gordonsville, Gordon and Mary Bass of McMinnville, Rebecca Partain and Dylan Partain, both of Rock Island; two step-grandchildren and spouses, Sherry and Tyler Bittner and Sheila and Anthony Brenneman, all of McMinnville; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister Joyce Hiter of Nashville; and several nieces and nephews.
