Rock Island resident LaVonne A. Levenhagen, 73, died April 22 at her home after an extended illness.A ladies department manager at Walmart, she was a member of LDS Church in McMinnville and was a genealogical researcher and member of the Red Hat Society.The daughter of the late Gertrude A. (Roohr) and Lawrence C. Neuman, she was preceded in death by son, Terry L. Levenhagen; and brothers, Duane and Dennis Neuman.She is survived by her husband, Gary L. Levenhagen; two daughter, Kim M. and husband Vik Moore of LaVergne, Melissa A. and husband Karl Morin of Rock Island; sons, Darby L. Levenhagen of Rock Island, Stephen E. Levenhagen of Murfreesboro, Lawrence E. and wife Amy Levenhagen of Christiana; sister, Joel M. and husband Dan Emhorst of Nellsville, Wis.; brother, Glendon and wife Vickie Neuman of Richland Center, Wis.; 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the LDS Church at 1 p.m. with Bishop Tim Hitchcock officiating. Interment and grave dedication will follow at Brick House Cemetery in Rock Island.
