Morrison resident and Coffee County native Laura Ann McAfee, 102, was born June 9, 1908 and died April 17 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.
A retired grocery store owner and member of Morrison Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late John Wesley and Zora Ann Dodd McMahan. She was married to Everett Earl McAfee, who preceded her in death March 11, 1994. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, James Earl and Doyle Thomas McAfee; two brothers, Lloyd and Walter McMahan; and three sisters, Myrtle Bailey, Connie Prater and Viola Ramsey. 
She is survived by six grandchildren, Jamie Shields, Jodie McAfee and Jan Underwood, all of Morrison, Kyle McAfee and Jason McAfee, both of Christiana, and Kimberly Solomon of Covington, Ga.; four sisters, Clara McAfee and Mildred Prater, both of Morrison, and Johnnie Cooper and Pauline Light, both of Muncie, Ind., and brother, Granville McMahan of Morrison.
Funeral service was held Tuesday at Morrison Church of Christ with Roger Comstock officiating. Burial followed at Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
