Larry E. Brown of McMinnville, died Sunday, October 2.

Larry E. Brown, 69, of McMinnville, died Sunday, Oct. 2, peacefully at his residence.
He was born March 10, 1947, in Lebanon, and was a retired banker. He began his banking career with First American Bank, came to Warren County working for City Bank & Trust, and finished his career with Security Federal Savings Bank where he had served as chairman of the board. Larry also was a member of McMinnville Noon Rotary, served as treasurer of the Savage Gulf League for many years, and participated in clay shooting, trout fishing, and hiking clubs. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents Patrick E. and Rebecca Mae Foster Brown and wife René Brown.
Survivors include his daughter Suzanne Brown Miller of Murfreesboro, brother Kevin (Theresa) Brown of Franklin, sister Rebecca Brown (Doug) Jensen of Nashville, granddaughter Ella Whittington Miller of Murfreesboro, nieces Julie Cook, Megan Brown, and Kenzie Brown, great-niece Emma Cook, lifelong friends John Parrish and Danny Martin, as well as Lisa Hillis, Joe Pugh, Michael Griffith, Jim Windrow, Bill Walker, Tim Pirtle and Pam Stubey Turner, all directors and employees at Security Federal Savings Bank and Noon Rotarians.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the National Brain Tumor Society. Online condolences may be made at
