McMinnville resident and Warren County native Karon Jane Layne, 53, was born April 29, 1958 and died May 18 at her residence following a brief illness.A nurse with Dr. Brad Brock and member of Pleasant Cove Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Barbara Hall of McMinnville and the late Hubert Hall. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Pelham; grandparents, Thurman and Pauline Hall, and Enoch and Mina Turner; and aunt, Morylen Hillis.She was married April 9, 1993 to Ronnie Dwayne Layne of McMinnville. In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two children and their spouses, Jeremie and Lori Turner, and Karissa and Mark Hale, all of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Ethan, Keaton and Kristen Turner, and Emilee and Hence Hale, all of McMinnville; sister, Kathy Brewer of McMinnville; uncle, John T. Hillis of McMinnville; four brothers-in-law, Matt Brewer and Jackie Pelham, both of McMinnville, Richard Layne of Laager, and Roger Layne of Coalmont; three sisters-in-law, Willene Layne, Linda Suffridge and Sharon Meeks of Coalmont; nine nieces and nephews, Tanarra and Richard Grissom, Talissa Pelham, Rayce and Ridge Brewer, Shawn Grissom, Kristy Clendenon, Kelly Cooke, Shayna Green, Amber Dodson and Dustin Martin, and three great-nieces and great-nephews, Rachel and Sarah Kate Grissom and Dylan Lockhart.Funeral service will be held at noon today in High’s Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating.
