Mrs. Juanita Martin King, 96, of McMinnville, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2024, at her residence. She was born May 15, 1927, in McMinnville, was a self-employed farmer, was a member of the Church of God, and the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. King was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Ella Millraney Martin, Sr.; first husband, Harold Edwin Templeton; second husband, M.P. (Dick) King; sisters, Willie Mae Martin, Edna Curtis, Jessie Ruth Gillentine, Gladys Walker and Sarah Lorena Hillis; and brothers, Woodrow and Harold Martin.
Survivors include her daughters, Sammye Jo Templeton and Patsy Carol Templeton; granddaughter, Shelly Powell; great-granddaughter, Shyenne (Eran) Davis; sister, Martha Martin; and brother, Sam Martin, Jr. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends also survive.
Graveside services and interment are scheduled for noon Friday, Feb. 23, at Mt. View Cemetery. Billy Solomon will officiate. Friends and family will meet at the cemetery and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
