Johnnie Virgil Ferrell, 74, of McMinnville died Friday, Feb. 12, at Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville.He was born Monday, Dec. 22, 1941 in Smithville, the son of the late Tommie Ferrell and Vella Young Ferrell.He is survived by his wife Josephine Ayers Ferrell; two daughters, Cathy Lewis and Bruce Irvin, Rose Mullican; son, Randy Ferrell; three grandchildren, Joella Young, Steve Stembridge, Darrell Stembridge and fiancée, Jullie Fults; great-grandson, Robert Patrick Young; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, Johnnie was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Melody Myers Jones and Rosette Myers, and all of his sisters and brothers. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Elbert Willis officiating.
