Joe Lane Howard, 81, a Warren County native and McMinnville resident died Dec. 3 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. He was the former owner of McMinnville’s Dairy Queen, veteran of the Tennessee Army National Guard, member of First Baptist Church, and son of the late Asa T. and Ola Mai Wilson Howard. Mr. Howard was married Sept. 19, 1952 for 60 years to Betty June Kirby Howard, who preceded him in death Jan. 3, 2013.
