McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Jo R. Yager, 85, was born April 24, 1927 and died Nov. 18 at River Park Hospital.A retired secretary with the Warren County School System and member of Christ United Methodist Church, she was the daughter of the late Willie Monroe and Clara West Russell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, J.T. Russell; sister, Pauline Terry and daughter, Betty Lynn York.She was married Sept. 1, 1950 to Ed Yager of McMinnville. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Ed (Cheryl Racel) Yager IV of Nashville; grandson, Christopher (Robin) York of Knoxville; brother, Clarence (Mary) Russell of Indianapolis, Ind., and sister, Chris Rogers of Indianapolis.A graveside memorial service and burial will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Riverside Cemetery with Harry Green officiating.
