Jessie Floyd McGee, 70, a McMinnville resident and Warren County native, died March 10 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness.
He was a retired employee of Carrier Corp., a member of the Church of Christ at Smyrna and son of the late Alton and Gladys Ford McGee.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son-in-law, Danny Herrin Jr.; niece, Aleesha Nichole Butcher; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Foster and Edna Taylor.
Mr. McGee was married Dec. 22, 1966 to Clayta Mae Taylor McGee, who survives. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by two daughters, Tracy McGee Herrin Jordan (Martin, Jr.) and Jessica McGee Jacobs (Corey), both of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Gracie Herrin, Maelee McGee, Tristen McGee Jacobs and Lily Jordan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bobby Taylor, Eugene Milstead, Ann Milstead and Kathy and Dwight Pearsall, all of McMinnville; four nieces and nephews, Tonya and Tim Crouch, David Milstead (Pebbles), Benji Taylor and Danae Green; several great-nieces and great-nephews; special aunt, Hazel Ford Bain, special friends and family.
Funeral service was held Thursday in High’s Chapel with Jerry Rutledge and Bobby Newby officiating. Interment followed at New Union Cemetery on Highway 30.
High Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
